We are very pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted for The Charity Times Award in the Community category.
For Jimmy has been selected because of our work running programmes in primary and secondary schools in Lewisham and surrounding boroughs. Our flagship school programme works with academically and socially at-risk young people on social action projects that take them outside of the school gates to lead in creating safer and stronger communities.
“We’re very proud to have been shortlisted for The Charity Times Award. Since we lost our son Jimmy, we’ve worked tirelessly with young people and their communities to make them safer and more peaceful. To now be recognised for the work we do in Jimmy’s name is truly humbling.”
Barry Mizen, MBE
Over the past three year’s we have created 18 flagship schools in Lewisham and surrounding London boroughs, sharing Jimmy’s story and working directly with over 900 young people. Our work is designed to help them succeed socially and academically with an experience that develops character, resilience and achievement, so they can help build the type of communities we all want to live in.
