Assembly

Since May 2008, Margaret and Barry have visited schools, prisons, YOI’s, Pupil Referral Units and community groups across the country.

They share Jimmy’s story and how he lost his life to youth violence the day after his 16th birthday, 100 metres from their family home.

During the talk they challenge widely held assumptions. Asking big questions about the kind of society we want to be, and why so many young people are losing their lives each year.

Awareness Talk

The talk begins with Barry and Margaret sharing Jimmy’s story in detail (age appropriate) and, when visiting faith schools, they will share how their faith has helped them deal with such a tragedy. They will show two short films and then open the floor up to a Q&A session. They are more than happy to speak to a whole year group or individual Key Stages.
